Aumgene has a dedicated Biotech R&D center based in GIDC, Surat, Gujarat. The R&D center has received the recognition of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) but the Government of India.  The R&D center has been designed and equipped with the necessary equipments / instruments required to undertake groundbreaking biotech innovations to bring novel products to the market.

Dedicated and clean supply of utilities like Steam, Water supply, Air, Power back up, Air-conditioning, RO-Plant are available at the R&D center. For efficient communication and literature search wireless Internet and Intranet is available. Current Protocols, US Pharmacopoeia & other books and subscriptions are available in our in-house library.
Below is a brief description of the facilities presently available at the company’s R&D center.

  • Laminar air flow workstations, incubators, walk-in cold chamber, deep freezers (-20 & -80oC, rotary shakers, incubater shaker, two refrigerated centrifuge, lyophilizer, double door autoclave, fluorescence microscope etc, are some of the equipments we have in our microbiology lab.
• Plitol scale fermentation facility
  • PLC based fermenters of 7 lt, 20 lt (6 nos.) & 100 liter working volume, double door autoclave. The fermenters are equipped with temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, foam, mass-flow and agitation speed controls.
• Enzymology Lab
  • For screening and assay systems for industrial and specialty enzymes.
• Molecular Biology lab
  • DNA & Protein gel electrophoresis, PCR, Gel documentation System, Microcentrifuge, etc.
