Aumgene has a dedicated Biotech R&D center based in GIDC, Surat, Gujarat. The R&D center has received the recognition of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) but the Government of India.  The R&D center has been designed and equipped with the necessary equipments / instruments required to undertake groundbreaking Biotech innovations to bring novel products to the market.

Dedicated and clean supply of utilities like Steam, Water supply, Air, Power back up, Air-conditioning, RO-Plant are available at the R&D center.

For efficient communication and Literature search wireless Internet and Intranet, Current Protocols, US Pharmacopoeia & Other books and subscriptions are available.

Below is a brief description of the facilities presently available at the company’s R&D center.

* Synthetic chemistry lab
* Microbiology lab
  Laminar air flow workstations, incubators, walk-in cold chamber, deep freezers, three rotary shakers, two refrigerated centrifuge, lyophilizer, double door autoclave, fluorescence microscope etc, are some of the equipments we have in our microbiology lab.
* Plitol scale fermentation facility
  Seven 20-100 liter fermenters, media sterilizers, double door autoclave. The fermenters are equipped with temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and agitation speed controls.
* Enzymology Lab
  Screening and assay systems for industrial and specialty enzymes.
* Analytical lab

  Aumgene’s R&D team is presently working on the following areas

 • Decomposition of lignocellulosic waste for ethanol production.
* Use of molecular biology tools for genotyping and strain development.
* Bioprocess Development and Scale-up of fermentation and downstream process.
* Formulation and application testing of Enzymes, Biofertilizers & Probiotics.
